Climate change

A key social driver of community concern and motivation to take action which is linked to all of the other themes listed below. NRM Education aims to support schools tackling climate change by helping them learn about and take appropriate action. Climate change is a complex threat that requires us to develop a big picture response capable of dealing with and connecting all the key aspects of the problem.

Climate Change - A student demonstration. The Department of Education and Children's Services, with the assistance of Hunter Gatherer Designs and Marty McNicol Video Productions, has helped students from Richmond Primary School & Urrbrae Agricultural High School made a short video to explain the concept of Climate Change. The video demonstrates how to make a greenhouse gas molecule, explains what is causing our climate to change, shows a demonstration of the greenhouse effect and the enhanced greenhouse effect, illustrates how to calculate the amount of carbon dioxide that we produce and describes some ways to reduce our carbon dioxide emissions.
