School Environment Management Plans (SEMPs)
Schools that require support in developing their SEMP will be supported in the following manner:
- Provided with examples of completed SEMPS and blank SEMP templates
- Provided with case studies/ stories about how other schools have developed SEMPS
- Assisted to use Sustainable and Attainable to carry out audits to obtain the information required in the SEMP.
- Provided with links to organisations that can support carrying out auditing and advise on suitability of sustainability goals identified in the SEMP.
SEMP’s could be written holistically or schools may choose to focus on one of the following themes at a time:
- Waste
- Water
- Biodiversity
- Energy
- Air&Transport
- Climate change
- Purchasing
